Home Furniture Laminate

Home furniture laminate is a synthetic, durable surface material applied to furniture, cabinets, and countertops. Its popular for its affordability, variety of designs and resistance to wear and tear.

Laminates consists of layers of paper or fabric impregnated with resins, pressed together under high het and pressure. The topmost layer is a decorative sheet that mimics wood, stone, or other textures and is protected by a clear, wear-resistant overlay.

Types of Laminate:

  1. High-Pressure Laminate (HPL): More durable and heat, moisture and impact resistant.
  2. Low-Pressure Laminate (LPL): Less durable but more affordable. Commonly used for wardrobes, shelves, and light-use furniture.
  3. Glossy Laminate: Reflective, smooth finish; adds a modern, sleek look.
  4. Matte Laminate: Subtle and understated, with a non-reflective surface. Resistant to scratches and easier to maintain.
  5. Textured Laminate:  Mimics natural materials like wood or stone.
  6. Anti-Bacteria Laminate: Treated to resist bacterial growth, ideal for kitchen, dining furniture, or healthcare settings.
